18th Century Soldiers Must Eat Humans to Survive

by Anonymous

I recently watched a film set in the 18th Century where a group of soldiers are sent to investigate soldiers missing in a remote military fort inside a forest.

It turns out the soldiers are infected by a strange virus that turns them into flash eating humans. Every one who is bitten by infected soldiers also becomes one of them. First infected is someone named captain Vitus, who's almost immortal.

The only human survivor from the group is tied in chains by Captain Vitus inside the fort and promised great powers if he only taste human flesh.

A few other details:
- The only survivor from group and one of the main actors is very similar to Heath Ledger and has long blue hair.
- David Warner may be in it.
- Captain Vitus has long black hair and a mustache.
- The main event is a fight between this guy who looks similar to Heath Ledger and Captain Vitus.

Any ideas?

Also think that's the one, except for those details previously mentioned and there's no virus involved either, they just go "loco" from eating human flesh.

Ravenous (1999) starring Guy Pearce, Robert Carlyle, and David Arquette. Except for 18th century part (Ravenous is placed in the 19th century [1800's]) your movie sounds like Ravenous. The military outpost is in the Sierra Nevada wilderness.

It's a great film. I guess I'll have to pull it out and watch it again.
