70's Film: Lion Drawing Left Behind at Murder Crime Scenes

When I was very small, I went with my parents to a horror movie. I was born in 1968 and this was one of my first memories so I couldn't have been very old. The part I do remember was that after every murder, there was a drawing of a lion left behind.

In one scene, a couple is chased into a cave and the investigator that comes later finds another drawing of a lion.
