70's Film Set in Horror House

Nothing to do with film I'm looking for
I'm searching for the title of a 70's film about people shooting a film on the set of a real horror house.
The opening scene is a collection of people being shot, stabbed, lying dead in the bath or hanging, or falling down the stairs in this house where the film is set.
The leading lady finds her cat dead in garden.
Sound familiar to anyone?
