70's Film Simiar to 'The Willows' Where Men Are Attacked in Woods By Invisible Killer

I'm trying to find the title of a late 70's, possibly Canadian, movie that is similar in plot to Algernon Blackwood's story 'The Willows'. It's not Wendigo (1978).

A group of men in the woods are killed by something they cannot see. Much of the movie takes place in the dark, and I can't recall who or what is hunting them, or whether that is ever revealed. I just remember the tone of the film being very similar to the story 'The Willows'.
