70s Horror Group Transports Evil Golden Idol on Yacht

I saw a TV movie when I was very young in the late 70's or early 80's where a group of people were on a small yacht and they were transporting an evil golden idol or tribal statue that was possibly stolen. Bad luck became of the members on the ship, one by one.

My memory is very cloudy but for some reason this movie/TV show stuck with me. Please help if you can.
