80's British Film/Short About Serial Killer Who Buries Victims in Garden

Does anybody renember a British 80's TV film or short, possibly with a well-known actor, that was about a serial killer who murdered women in his house and then buried them in his garden?

One woman had gone back to the house with him and she was trying to get away from him. She was in the garden and it was raining, and she unearthed a hand in the soil.

I don't think I've ever seen anything that gave me such bad nightmares as this drama.

Can anyone remember this?
