80's Jungle Monster Afraid of Light

In the 80's there was a monster movie (maybe made-for-TV) that I can't remember the name of.
A helicopter pilot flies a female doctor to a remote ranch in the jungle - maybe in Central America. Monsters come out only at night and are afraid of bright lights. The pilot and the woman flash lights at the monster to keep it at bay.
