'80s Sci-Fi Horror Where Spacesuit is Filled With Milky White Fluid

I saw a movie around '85 where the main character is some sort of betrayed astronaut who wears an experimental spacesuit.

He goes on a big vigilante rampage and requires his spacesuit to be filled with a milky white fluid to live.

His family is featured kind of like Robocop and at the end it shows people looking at the suit next to astronauts in a museum, perhaps the Smithsonian.

Any clues?
