There is more drama and more "yell out loud" in Final Destination 3 than its predecessors. Here is the only review you'll need.

I imagine that most of the folks who will read this review have seen Final Destination 1 and 2. Just in case you haven't, here is a brief synopsis of the story.

At the beginning of each horror movie in the series, one person (a man in number 1 and a woman in Final Destination 2 and 3) has an extremely vivid premonition about doom and destruction. In the case of Final Destination 3, our hero Wendy (Winstead) is at an amusement park with members of her high school graduating class and has just taken her seat in the super-rollercoaster when she has her vision.

Flash to the rollercoaster slowly climbing the initial slope to begin it's thrilling decent. There is a series of disturbing events simultaneously taking place, including a break in the tracks and a leak in the car's hydraulic system. What follows is one of the most dramatic rollercoaster crash scenes EVER! Cars fly off of the tracks, people are smashed to bits by stray scaffolding...thrills and chills galore!

Final Destination 3 death ride

Suddenly, Wendy snaps out of her trance of sorts, and realizes that the rollercoaster car is about to embark on it's journey. Well, at this point she knows what's going to happen, so she of course freaks out! She screams and cries until the teen-aged ride attendants let her off. Ultimately, some of her friends get off the ride with her while some stay on complaining that poor Ms. Wendy is just trying to get attention.

Well, the premonition comes true, and all of the passengers on this ill-fated amusement ride perish in the horrific accident. Now we get to the good part. You see, death doesn't take kindly to being cheated. The kids that got off of the ride were meant to die in the accident, and death wants them!

Final Destination 3 Devil

What follows is a series of freakish accidents (I will never get in a tanning bed again) as each of the kids that cheated death meets their maker anyway. The really sick thing about this is that Mr. Death seems to require that not only should the cheaters die, but that they must die in horrifying and disgusting ways.

Final Destination 3 is the best in the series. The special effects are incredible, the kill-scenes are dramatic and creative and I now know what it looks like when a high school senior is literally crushed into mush.

Final Destination 3 car escape

In Final Destination 3 there is no lack of suspense or that stomach-turning feeling you get when you know something terrible is about to happen, but you don't know what or when. All of the kill-scenes take place through strange and seemingly coincidental chains of events that come together with a deadly result.

Overall, Final Destination 3 is absolutely worth seeing. After watching this horror movie you will no doubt see little things that happen throughout your day as potential signals of doom in the making. Questions or comments about Final Destination 3? Contact us!
