A Young and Hellbound Child
by Kelsey
(Missouri)
I was somewhere around 10 years old. My sister refused to let me watch the Scream movies but I knew I would break her down eventually. She loved scary movies and I had taken to sneaking them when no one was home.
So finally she let me and I laughed through a few parts. She could tell that I was a naturally seasoned horror fan, but what she didn't know was that I'd been reading, writing and watching them since I can remember.
Hostel is one of the grossest horror films. The original Exorcist scared me to hell and back. Somehow deep in my 18 year old mind I fell in love with the gore and horror. Nightmare on Elm Street was amazing. It sparked my love for Johnny Depp and for single killer based movies. George Romero is one of my biggest heroes. I don't use Netflix but my sister and I have an account at our video store that has no late fees and you can rent 2 movies at a time as many times as you want a day... it's amazing.
I've seen some horrible movies but I've also seen some good ones and I will continue to be the Proud Horror Freak!!!
