Addah 's Story
by Addah Abdullah
(Romania)
Well, hello to everyone. There is not much to tell. My first encounter with the horror genre was at the age of ten (I'm 30 now). Considering the country I live in and its political regime, I didn't see many horror movies in my early years. In the 90's though when our dictator left, there were these amazing video nights in a youth club in my town. And so I watched, amongst others, a movie about a religions leader that hanged himself in a chapel and became a zombie. He then killed the townsfolk who rose from their graves and became zombies too.
Now I have quite a few movies in my small collection, excepting They! which I cannot suffer through as it reminds me of my childhood. I have a preference for the Dystopian type film and have also developed an addiction to horror PC-games, those amazing FPS's where you can live all your thrills in an encapsulated, virtual world. You feel the fear and are part of the plot. A good one makes you think: What if? And maybe there are strange things in the dark places of the world?
Best regards,AA
