Ax Murderer With Green Glowing Eyes

I saw this movie when I was younger and I just can't remember the name of it.

A mother and child are being attacked by this ax murderer with green glowing eyes that can possess his victims. The mother sticks the boy in the attic and goes to her room. The murderer chops down the door and she climbs out onto the roof. In the end of this scene, the murderer finds the boy and possesses him.

A few years later a group of teenagers staying in a cabin meet up with the same ax murderer.
