Banned Horror Movie from 2005-2006

A friend of mine and I are looking for a horror movie that was banned for too much "horror."

My friend said it was out around 2005-2006 and that the critics said it was way too much for the theater. He mentioned something about teens being in a car and someone smashing at the car to kill them. Does any of this ring a bell?

We can't figure it out. He only has this little info from what he heard. The movie was actually released in only one theater here in Chicago before it was banned, or so the story goes.

Any ideas?
