Any Time!

You?re welcome! I?m glad that was it. I actually think he was blue or blueish-gray, at least in the book (which I remember the best). It was that and your great description of his face that jogged my memory!

Thank you!

That's it! Thank you so much. Guess he wasn't blue, I must have just remembered it being dark. Thanks for the help!

Could Be...

It sounds like There's a Nightmare in My Closet (1987) which was based on the book.

I remember that one

But I can't think of the name either, not Monsters, Inc.. I remember watching it with my god child and she would get scared and still want to watch it again and again. I remember it was a short movie. I had it on tape but have no idea where it is. It was a long time ago.

Maybe..

Not the Seth Green Tales from the Darkside, though that one was great. Might be the Gribble thing, though, do you know where I can find any images or content on it? Thanks, this may be it!

Hmm

Was it The Gribble? Or perhaps Tales from the Darkside 'Monsters in my Room' (1985) staring Seth Green as a little boy?

Not 'Monsters, Inc.'
by: Anonymous

No, this was a live-action short from the 80's.

James P. Sullivan had cutesy Disney eyes, was animated, and wasn't timid!

Very funny

I think it is Pixar's best, Monsters, Inc. (2001).
