Black Skeletons and Blinking Lights

I can barely remember it but a few years ago I was flipping around my TV and stopped at a color horror flick featuring a female main character being pursued by black skeletal creatures soon after a friend of hers killed himself.

In his room she discovered hundreds of batteries and in the last action scene she is found huddled against a blinking subway light.

Please help me find out the name of this movie!
