Blobby Monster Comes Out of TV and Lives In Swimming Pool

So I found this movie awhile back, but now I forgot the name again. It's where there's a monster/alien thing that comes out of the TV via cable or satellite and it eats everything. These kids put it in an empty swimming pool and feed it everything in the house, but it still kills people.

I'm pretty sure it's from the 80s since I was like 6 when I first saw it. Any ideas?
