Everything is progressing according to plan for the executives of
Zlantoff Industries, in fact the clinical trials of their new
biological warfare concoction are performing better than expected. Cats
who are infected with the manufactured virus are overcome with
murderous bloodlust within seconds of first contact. War is hell, you
see, and one of the primaries of this company lost her soulmate while
he was on a military mission, to keep this from happening to anyone
else, as well as exact revenge on anyone who might be considered a
military enemy, this particular virus was devised. Once
infected the
opposing soldiers would turn on each other, thereby ending the conflict
with the “right side” suffering no casualties.
But alas, the president of Zlantoff Industries can’t keep his cowboy fantasies away from his lovely assistant Andrea (porn star Alexis Texas), and the long ride he has with her in his office is inadvertently broadcast across the company via the paging system. The distraction of the romp on the range causes a couple of the techs in the woefully control-free laboratory to drop a tray of vials, one of which includes the virus. This results in an automatic lockdown in the facility, and the employees are left to fend for themselves, as one by one they become Bloodlust Zombies themselves.
Admittedly, Bloodlust Zombies
is not particularly good.
The film has a good stable set-up for a zombie flick and a hot porn
star in the credits, but there isn’t a ton more to love. The gore is
tame for a zombie movie and the characters are not played by very good
performers. Interestingly, the one exception to that is Ms. Texas
herself. She actually has a bit of acting talent shining through in a
couple of scenes, even with her clothes on. I’m not sure what the
protocol is these days for a smut-ho moving into “legit” film, but I
betcha she could pull it off (as opposed to pulling it out – haha) if
the opportunity were to present itself.

Bloodlust Zombies is a very low budget zombie flick with a familiar set-up, with a twist of revenge and soul-searching by the grieving widow. The hard-core zombie hounds out there may be a bit disappointed in the gore, but if the primary goal is to see Alexis Texas she gets plenty of screen time. If that’s not enough for you then enter this lockdown at your own risk.
