Boy Accidentally Shoots Mom, Dad Takes Revenge Later

I'm looking for a movie I saw in the 80's at the drive-in about a boy who is cleaning his gun and it goes off, accidentally killing his mother in the kitchen making a birthday cake.

Later when the boy grows up and graduates, his dad invites him to his beach house and kills his friends one by one.

At the conclusion, his dad is killed by being rammed by a car against a wall, cutting him in half.
