Boy Possessed by the Devil

I saw parts of a movie on TV many years ago and now I'm looking for the title. It may have been made in the late 70's ,early 80's.

I remember a part where a family is moving out of a house. The boy forgets something in his room, he goes to retrieve it and something throws him on the bed and holds him down. The boy describes the thing as a man with sunken eyes and cloven hoof feet.

Throughout the movie the boy says he sees this demon following him and he eventually gets possessed by the demon and the family gets help from a priest that challenges the demon. I don't remember much more.

I do remember something about the ending credits - they show the boy sitting in a rocking chair near a window alone.

Any ideas ?
