B&W: Japanese Whale & Squid Creatures

by Brandt
(Portland, Oregon, USA)

Back in the 70's there was a TV show out of Portland, Oregon called Sinister Cinema. One of the films (or, perhaps this was two separate films) was Japanese. Black and white.

I remember a trap door being opened in the floor and a mouth inside that moved back and forth like the wash cycle on a washing machine. The teeth or feelers looked like whale baleen. That's all we see of the creature. Someone is thrown in and swallowed by this thing.

The other thing I remember is a movie where several people are lined up in front of a giant squid. It swings a tentacle and knocks their heads off. Then, each grows a squid head.

Any ideas?
