B&W Prison Inmate Escape Plan to be Buried Alive

I'm looking for the title of an old black & white horror movie I'd like to locate again.

It takes place in an old prison. One of the inmates strikes a deal with either the prison doctor or the coronor that when the next person dies, the inmate would sneak into the casket with the dead person and be buried. The doctor would then come dig him up and he would escape.

All went according to plan. Once buried, the inmate lit a match to see who he had been buried with. It was the doctor. The last scene was of the prison yard and a scream from the fresh grave.
