B&W The Head That Wouldn't Die?

Not to be confused with The Brain That Wouldn't Die, this one was also in black and white, possibly from the 50's.

There's a head in an old locked box that was dug up from under a tree. The head controls the person that dug up the box.

In one scene it was set on the upper closet shelf and you could see the eyes glowing in the dark through the partially open door. As a small child, this totally freaked me out. To this day, I can't sleep with the closet door open. I really thought the title was The Head That Would Not Die but I can't find that listed anywhere.

If anyone knows this one, I would really like to exorcise my demons about closet doors! Thanks!
