B&W: Woman Beheaded in Car Accident Can Still Think
by Nicolas
(Paris, France)
I once saw a short black & white film where a woman lays on the floor after a car accident.
She can't move, except for her face, and we can hear what she is thinking. She remembers the accident and tries to figure out what happened to the other people in the car. She can see the crashed car, and the bodies of the other people dead around her. She also can see an additional dead body that she cannot identify. All along in the film she feels more and more cold and numb.
The last scene is when a policeman arrives and puts a jacket on her moving face instead of helping her. The camera scrolls back and we understand that she was beheaded, and that the unknown body that the woman had seen was her own, a few meters away.
At the end, there is a text explaining that Marie-Antoinette's head is said to have been moving seconds after she was beheaded.
Any idea of the title of this film?
Thanks !
Nicolas
