What's the gory black & white movie where a young woman leaves a large house at night to go swimming?

She goes down into a pond only to see a tombstone underneath. She may have been looking for it...not sure...but she reacts with terror, swims to the top and a guy with an axe starts chopping her up. She struggles and pulls the grass & weeds along the edge of the pond. He pulls her body out and drags it through the weeds.
