Car Chase in Tunnel Ends With Train Hitting Car

I saw a movie in the 90's that was set in the 50's or 60's and I can't remember the name of it. I think it may have been a Stephen King movie or TV show episode.

It starts off with some lads in a car chasing another lad into a tunnel. They all get out of their cars and the lad being chased takes the keys out of the other lad's car and runs.

A train approaches and they get back in the car but realize there is no key, and the train hits and kills them.

What is this film?
