Carrie Still Scares Me
by Kim
(Florida)
When I was a little girl the movie that scared me the most was Stephen Kings - Carrie. My mom knew it and every opportunity she had she scared me with the movie. My mother was murdered when I was 9yrs old.
By the time I was 16 I had my first child. 2 days after I was home I was asleep with my baby when I was awakened by a familiar noise. I opened my eyes and looked at the T.V. and Carrie was on. It was dark and the only light was that T.V. I jumped out of bed and turned the T.V. off and jumped back in the bed and covered my head. All of a sudden the T.V. popped back on. I peeped from under the cover and there on the T.V was Carrie standing on stage looking at me. I ran over to the T.V right quick and unplugged it. I swore to my self that if that T.V. came on then I was out of there.
It didn't come back on.
I took it as a sign from my late mother that she saw her first grandchild and her way of telling me she still could scare the hell out of me.
