C.H.U.D. (1984) Horror Movie Review

C.H.U.D. ... I make fun of this movie a lot now, however in my youth this movie scared me... in 1984 this was scary.

When C.H.U.D. (Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers... or is that Contamination Hazard Urban Disposal like the waste cans say) came out people were being scared by the "Big Brother is Watching" concept with overtones of the government hiding things that could harm us, so the movie fit right in. I know people who still will not walk on a man hole cover to this day.

Only in New York could you find grossly deformed bums, that come up from the sewers at night to eat the regular average Joe/Jane. The city of New York is in a panic, people are disappearing, the bum population is less and no one knows why? One man is brave enough to find out the reason for all these happenings. Could this be a government cover-up or something else? Maybe it is just the toxic waste being dumped in the sewer system? Watch the movie and find out.

C.H.U.D is a vintage film that should be experienced by Horror Freaks young and old.
