Cloverfield: What Was I Thinking?

I have seen some B grade movies before, C.H.U.D. comes to mind, however Cloverfield takes the cake.

First of all the monster, what was it, could it be yet another Alien Spider from Space? I think Stephen King needs to know that someone else is using his idea. I do love Stephen King really, I am not making fun of him, but maybe he should really think about
the "Lamp Monster". You have to know Family Guy to understand that.

Come on, Cloverfield was bad. The view shot from a video camera was an idea, however that took me back to Blair Witch Project (yet another bad movie). Where is the original thought or project? Watch it for some laughs.
