Snakes on a Plane is hardly a Horror movie, a reasonable drama at best. Same for Ghost Ship, a good drama movie. The Descent, Yes a good one but No 1 ?? Not sure about that. And Silent Hill was a brilliant scary game to play but a lousy movie! I thought all 4 Saw movies were great, and Hostel 1 & 2 the gorier and bloodier the better as long as there is a story to it. The only movie to ever give me a nightmare was The Grudge, just wasn't expecting that asian childlike thingy to jump out! I couldnt make a list of the best just the ones I personally love and theres not enough room on this web page ! If your getting nightmares from these movies I think you should give up Horror as a hobby!!

Okay Connie - I applaud you for putting your list out there! I don't agree with some of them, and REALLY agree with some others. Specifically, I think The Descent is absolutely incredible. I LOVE the opening scene in Ghost Ship but the rest of that one was not nearly as good... So, keep the lists coming! Okay, first of all, it's one missed call... Snakes on a Plane and Penny Dreadful were crap and Ghost Ship is the dumbest horror film and even gives the lame House of Wax remake a run for it's crappy money... Were you asleep when you watched most of these movies? Start a new list when you get some taste...

Nice list. Ive already added some of those titles to my netflix queue. Thanx! I love the Ghost Ship is your #2! Its one of my favorites also and I dont think ppl give it enough credit. It has one of the awesomest death scenes of all times too - when the wire cuts everyone on the boat in half! But I heard so much negative crap about it that I almost didnt watch it. I cant find "One Last Call" on netflix though:( I wanna see it! Cheers! Laura the axe wielding maniac!
