Creature From Box Climbs Girl's Leg in Vampire Film

A few years ago I watched a film where a group of American teens are at school party when 4-5 of them go off to a deserted house. Whilst there one girl steals a small box. Later when she is in her bedroom she opens it and a worm like creature jumps from it. It then climbs the girl's leg and she collapses to the floor. Out of the box comes a mist from which emerges a female vampire who takes the girl's blood.
