Synopsis: The recipe for Dance
of the Dead - Start with a post-apocalyptic society with
people just trying to make it day by day. Add one naïve
teenage female mixed with a handful of wild, drug-abusing, heavy music
listening teenagers. Put one over-protective mother to the side and add
in stages. Mix in a nightclub that caters to all sorts of indulgences. Dance
of the Dead sounds like something you have tasted before
until you add in the secret ingredient; Re-animated corpses (zombies)
that are forced to dance on stage for entertainment.
Thoughts: Whoever decided to team up Richard Matheson (I Am Legend) and Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) to create the Masters of Horror episode Dance of the Dead needs to receive a medal. Dance of the Dead is a great episode from concept to production. The acting is good, the directing is fabulous and Robert Englund adds a morbid authenticity to the story. Dancing zombies; what a riot. Questions or comments about Dance of the Dead? Contact us!
