Daxi's 'Straight to the Point' Horror List

Best Zombie Film: Dance of the Dead. Why? Because it's Breakfast Club meets George Romero (even though he didn't direct it). Unlikely heroes take their form in the tough teens in this movie. Instant cult classic!

Worst Zombie Film: We've got a tie here, folks:
Zombie Strippers. Why? Jenna Jameson and peeling-flesh-loving strip-joint patrons...no other words are needed, and
The Zombie Diaries. Why? Choppy filming, murky plot. 'Nough said.

Best Original Movie: Repo! The Genetic Opera. Why? I love this movie! Great lyrics, great acting, quirky characters! Very memorable. Very different.

Worst Original Movie: Let the Right One In (2008). Why? I was asleep in thrity minutes. Very slow and very...bad.

Funniest Werewolf Movie: Never Cry Werewolf (2008). Why? Because it actually tried to be serious. Great soundtrack!

Best Vampire Movie: This one was tough. There are a ton of decent vampire movies out there, but I'm going to go with The Lost Boys. Why? It's the definition of classic. Teen rage at its greatest!

Worst Vampire Movie: Another tie here: Brotherhood of Blood (2007) and The Thirst (2006). Why? The first looked like a home movie with ridiculously runny blood. The second being upwards of an hour of sex and angsty vampires in denial. Shudder.

Goriest Movie: The Last House in the Woods (2006). Why? Blood...more blood...guts...brains...bones...blood.

Slowest Horror Movie: Let the Right One In (2008). It's so bad, it got two nominations on my list!
