Dead Birds is a movie that many people haven't heard about. It was very low-budget.. but you would never know it from the effects.

The setting is the 1860's. A group of confederates hide out in an old Alabama home after violently robbing a bank. You find out quickly that they chose the wrong house to hide out in. This group falls victim to a vicious supernatural cycle that will leave you sleeping with a night light.

Dead Birds is one of the best horror movies I have seen in a really long time.

Amazing movie if you like creepy, cerebral horror

If you're into basic gore, this isn't your movie.

If you like creepy, atmospheric movies, you'll like this one. It's a good indie-horror, and that's probably why it's so smart--there's no way a big studio would put any money into a horror film that requires thought on the part of the viewer.

It's not without its faults, but it's pretty freaking awesome, and much better than most horror films around. It builds slowly, which usually works, but there are a few clunky moments. The acting isn't perfect, and there are parts where someone's timing seems to be a bit off, but that might have something to do with editing as well. Either way, the characters respond (super)naturally when it matters.

Great movie. Again, don't watch it if you're just looking for zombie/slasher/gore/teenage horror. The only female character is clothed for pretty much the entire movie. Basically, watch this movie if you want to scare the bejesus out of yourself in a way that will leave you feeling creeped out whenever you think about it for at least a few days.

cool this movie rocked and I loved the part were the girl looked under the bed and there was this boy oh and just in case anyone has any idea when the guy was in the toilet what the heck was trying to get in???

Seen this movie about 2 years ago, didnt really like it, really wierd and just didnt like the story line in general, couple cool parts and couple of jumpy parts but nothing really i cared for.

Picked up this surprizing little gem for 3 bucks at big lots. Never heard of it but decided what the heck,glad I did.
