Dead Bodies Under Cherry Trees with Pink Blossoms
by Agnes
(Austria)
Helloooo
First I want to apologize for my English... I am from Austria :P
I am not going to start with my first contact with horror movies, but I will till you something about my first real contact with horror itself :D
When I was about 6 or 7 years old a friend of mine invited me to her birthday party. My brother was invited too and during this party we listened to an older girl which told another girl a little horror story.
The story was about a woman who bought a doll. In the first night she gave the doll to her youngest daughter. When she looked in her room the next day the daughter was dead. She was covered with cuttings and the doll next to her got longer nails and looked evil. (Of course she did not realize that the doll killed her !!)
In the following nights she gave the doll to her other children and to her husband. All of them died the same way and everytime the nails of the dolls got longer and it looked more and more evil.
The woman was desperate and thought that the family was cursed. To remember those who died she set the doll next to her bed... *evil laughter*
One night my brother (We shared a room when we were younger) said to me: "Do you remember the story about the doll? Just so you know... there is a doll over your bed too."
HOW CRUEL!!! I was terrified!!! There really was a doll over my head (Which girl has no china doll??!?). I could´t sleep at all until this (bad) doll was caged in my wardrobe! (it is still in there !!)
The first real horror movie that scared the shit out of me was "Nightflyer", a movie based on a novel by Stephen King. I saw it when I was 7 or 8 years old.
After watching this film I watched every horror movie in the TV. I've got two older brothers and my parents allowed us to watch every movie we wanted... unfortunately I wasn't allowed to stay up all night -.-
When I was 13 years old I started to read Stephen King books (I´m 17 now and I've read nearly all of them XD). One year ago I started to collect horror manga. Mangas are Japanese comics and I can really recommend them to every horror lover! I am collecting horror DVDs too :D
I hope my story wasn't too uninteresting (and I hope my English wasn't too bad :P)
See ya - Agnes
