Dear Zombie Master: 28 Days Later Zombies?
by Anonymous
Dear Zombie Master,
Do you consider the infected in 28 Days Later to be zombies? I've had this discussion with a couple of people who seem to think they are. However, my argument is that they are not zombies because they don’t eat flesh…they simply kill. Also they do not die and then reanimate. Lastly, they can be killed in many other ways besides destroying the brain.
Since you are the Master, I will take your word as zombie gospel!
Hello,
My review of 28 Days Later at www.Best-Horror-Movies.com should clear up any misconceptions about the presence of zombies, but in answer to your question;
You are correct in all but one of your arguments. The eating of the flesh is not a prerequisite since cannibals eat flesh and they are not zombies. The simple fact that they are not reanimated dead tissue takes them out of the zombie classification. That they can be killed by any means, including starvation, just adds another nail into the proverbial coffin.
Please give this information to your friends so that they won't become a statistic because they didn't know how to handle a true zombie.
Good hunting and aim high,
The Zombie Master
