Dear Zombie Master: Can you Cure a Zombie?

Zombie Master,

Have there ever been films where the zombies have been cured or is there's a fate worse than death and, so, death is like some welcome relief?

Brian,

The Resident Evil films discuss an antidote but it has to be administered rather quickly after infection or it has no effect.
Although I can think of several things in which death would seem like a welcome relief (board meetings, summer camp, marriage, etc.) I do think that I would rather just fight it out to my last breath and take as many with me as possible should the time come.
