Dear Zombie Master: Frozen Zombies?

Dear Zombie Master,
Can zombies freeze to death? I was just wondering if I flee into the mountains during the winter, will I be safe from their rotting corpses or would I still be in danger?

Quick answer, no you will not be safe.
Probably the best example is in the wonderful book by Max Brooks entitled 'World War Z'. They will just thaw out and start causing trouble again. The good thing about the whole freezing in the winter thing though is that you could get a lot of target practice in.
