Dear Zombie Master: Is Suicide an Option?

Dear Zombie Master,

I believe the human race is doomed. Whether it be a worldwide nuclear war or an outbreak of a mutant virus, our species’ extinction is inevitable.

Now in the case of a zombie outbreak, say you made your way to your cabin of solitude. After the infected discovered your location, they would find a way to get you. I am not aware of how well you handle a weapon, but you can only hold them off for so long.

If your situation became that desperate, could you see yourself committing suicide? I think I could, personally. I just wondered if anyone shared my thoughts on the matter.

First, the only way zombies would find my 'cabin of solitude' (I am liking the name) is if some dimwit allowed himself or herself to be followed. If that were so then he or she would find themselves the first ones to go.

Second, with the types and amounts of firepower that we are talking about, I should do rather well in holding them off for some time.

That being said, suicide is not an option until bitten. I have a standing rule that if bitten I am to be shot on the spot, but as long as there have been no bites there is always hope.
