Dear Zombie Master: Music as Weapon

Dear Zombie Master,

In the movie Dance of the Dead (2008), zombies are entertained by music. I wonder, in a heard of zombies, if music were to be played, would this distract the zombies from eating me?

Now if there were a guitar nearby, I would of course try and smash some heads in before attempting to play it, but I would still like to know the answer.

Although there have been a couple of instances where music has had a slight impact (Bub seemed to like music), I personally would not be willing to test the hypothesis. If there happen to be any volunteers, I would be more than happy to even go so far as to see if style of music makes a difference. But alas, volunteers maybe be hard to come by after they discover the type of research required.

Also, being a guitarist myself, I would try to play first because most guitars, even solid bodies, don't really play too well after they have been used as clubs.
