Dear Zombie Master: Zombie Outbreak Plan Flaw
by Andrew
(Tucson, Arizona, USA)
Dear Zombie Master,
In the event of a zombie outbreak, I already have a few situational plans figured out with some sub-plans for those "what if" factors. One thing I completely spaced about, however, is that I work in a friggin' hospital, and a big one to boot. Lots of sickly beings meander about and already look like flesh-feasters with their slow hobbling and drooling, sometimes acting crazy. So how would I know if they weren’t zombies? I need some help getting my plan off the ground for the “at work” scenario.
Also, I and my fellow schemers have always argued the survivor policy: Do you take survivors with you, regardless of their usefulness?
Any help would be appreciated.
Andrew
Andrew,
Ok, first things first, if anyone at the hospital knows about or is part of your plan then track them down and verify whether or not they have become zombies. Other than those select few, trust no one. There is no sense in risking it. Treat all of them the same as you make your escape.
As far as survivors are concerned, unless they are the owners of something that you just cannot survive without (helicopter, tank, APC, etc.), leave them. I know it sounds cold-blooded but we aren't talking about picking someone last for kickball on the school playground. We are talking about survival, and if they are not part of your plan and you do not know them personaly then they need to be considered a burden that you cannot afford.
Good hunting and aim high,
The Zombie Master
