Depressed Unpopular Girl Getting Makeover Smashes Head Through Mirror

This has been bugging me for a while. I remember watching a horror TV show where a depressed unpopular girl ends up getting a makeover, I think by her sister.

They show scenes of a salon and the unpopular girl ends up getting her hair dyed blonde (it was naturally dark brown/black and very curly). In the end, she smashes her head through the mirror.

I've asked this before on another website where I was told it was an episode of Freddy's Nightmares but it wasn't. Any thoughts?
