Does anyone remember this 90's movie about a guy that goes on a road trip with his girlfriend?

They are going to her parents house so he can meet them. When they get there the family seems crazy (you kind of feel sorry for him, because you think he's being tortured).

He escapes, and calls a friend. The friend drives out there and gets killed.

It turns out the guy went crazy, because he killed his girlfriend with his car when he was drunk. He imagined all the rest and killed his own friend.
