Earring Collecting Serial Killer

It was awhile ago that I saw this movie, the killer was a young man who would take girls out and then kill them. He always kept one of their earrings and that was what got him busted when someone opened up a box he had in his room and noticed all these unmatched earrings.

If I remember correctly he also hung up newspapers that mentioned the murders all over the inside of his closet and he lived at home with his parents still.

Anyone know what movie this is?
