For Horror, For Drama

Terrifying
I watch a lot of films and play a lot of games, and none have invoked many emotions in me. Sure, I laughed when Romeo & Juliet died together, and I may have been angry at the theatrical delivery of The Room. But it's not the same.
However, occasionally a horror film or game will make me feel genuinely insecure and maybe even invoke fear. Pure emotional rush; and if it stays with me at nighttime, all the better. It's a buzz, am I right?
My first horror film must have been John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) and the hybrid genre of Sci-Fi horror became my pet love. I have since roamed far and wide seeking the creepiest, weirdest and downright horrific movies that invoke emotions of terror. On the side, I do watch the classics with avid love.
Video games like the newly released 'Amnesia: The Dark Descent' are called the scariest games ever made and are about undiluted fear. I agree. They offer immersion and interactivity with the genre that film-makers can only dream of. You grow an affinity with your character, wanting to protect them as they explore, straining to hear the footsteps in between ragged, desperate breaths.
Bit off track from movies, but yeah, God knows how many childhood and teen years I've devoted to horror. Sometimes it's best not to know so you don't accidentally tell your shrink.
