Friday the 13th top 10

Favorite Friday the 13th flicks...not including Freddy vs. Jason cause its outside of the franchise and that would make it 11 movies and 11 wont fit into a top 10 list so...

10. Friday the 13th pt. 8: Jason Takes Manhattan--wasted potential. Jason's big city visit could have been great but it wound up being more like Jason Takes A Cruise.

9. Jason X--Jason...a robot? In the future? Well, it happened. Unfortunately. One good kill though when he dunks the lab chicks face in a chemical that freezes it instantly then smashy smashy.

8. Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday--New Line Cinema has done this franchise no favors. Now Jason is really some little alien/demon thing that is smaller than a ferret.

7. Friday the 13th Part 3--Wow, the 3-D effects are great on DVD. It's not terrible and it does feature Jason getting his hockey mask (thanks, Shelley).

6. Friday the 13th part 5: A New Beginning--At a halfway house, Jason style killings are happening but it turns out to be a paramedic (ahem).

5. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter--turns out the Final Chapter isn't even the the halfway point of the series. Jason kills a bunch of partying kids and meets Tommy Jarvis, who would prove to be Jason's longest running feud.

4. Friday the 13th part 7: The New Blood--Average other than Jason going up against a girl with telekinetic powers who, despite his persistence, really fucks him up.

3. Friday the 13th part 2-- Good sequel with Jason once again terrorizing Camp Crystal Lake. Pretty much like the first...well, except the fact that it introduces us to the man himself. That's kinda a big deal.

2. Friday the 13th--The original...the one that started it all. Camp councilors fall one by one to a fiendish killer who turns out to be a 60 year old woman. Well, it's a great movie anyway.

I may stand alone with this choice but the best one is...

1. Friday the 13th part 6: Jason Lives--It brings Jason back from his one movie vacation, pitting him against Tommy Jarvis who's all grown up now. This one interjected some humor, starting with the James Bond style opening before the title sequence. It was our last visit to the actual Camp Crystal Lake (renamed Camp Forest Green) and there were even kids in peril this time. Jason offs some counselors, some weekend warriors, a few cops, and some others in the wrong place at the right time (even Horcshack) on his way to a final showdown with Tommy Jarvis. Kane Hodder is the best "Jason" in the series. Thom Matthews isn't a great actor but has a goofiness that works in his role as Tommy.

Part 7 is the worst in the series by far! And to say that Jason X is better than Part 8 is just silly. I'm not sure that you know exactly what your talking about.
