There was a pretty recent film where a couple moves to Japan for his job.

The man keeps getting pains in his shoulder and the doctor can't find anything wrong.

His girlfriend takes a lot of photographs and in some of them a woman appears. It turns out this woman is in love with the man, but she killed herself.

The ghost of the girl now hangs onto his neck - thus the pain in the shoulders.

Eventually he's admitted to the hospital because they think he's mad.
