Giant Man Created by a Mililtary Accident

I saw this movie as a kid. It was about a woman seeking her lost or missing husband involved in an atomic accident. She hires some people with an airplane to fly her to this jungle area or island. They find him BUT, he is a giant with a deformed face covering one eye. They try to communicate with him but without success.

Later the people attempt to escape the island and are trapped in a cave high on a cliff and they push a long pole into the giant man's eye. They make it back to the airplane and take off. At the end of the film they see the giant man reaching upward as if to capture the escaping airplane.

I have no idea of the movie title but wish to obtain it and search for that movie to watch one more time, please help.
