Glass Skulls, Boy Trapped in Bathroom Mirror

I can't remember the name of this movie but I recall there was a sequel. In the first one, a man inherits this house from his Grandmother who had apparently hung herself because the house was alive and out to get her.

In one scene the man runs to the basement to see one of his Grandmother's paintings. There's a towel over it and when he removes it we see a boy trapped in a bathroom mirror. The man runs upstairs, ties a rope around himself, smashes the mirror and jumps down it. He ends up in the middle of the jungle with army men, and rescues the trapped boy.

In another scene, the clock strikes twelve and a monster comes out of the bedroom closet.

I remember there are glass skulls in the film.

Hopefully someone can remember the title. This has been bothering me for years.
