Glowing Hole in Basement Houses Mantis Creature

I remember watching this scary movie with my parents in the early to mid 90’s.

A family buys a house and as the real estate agent shows them around the basement, he falls halfway into a random hole in the floor. Nothing happens, and the family still buys the house.

Later the hole in the basement is glowing. The real estate agent dies. In my memory, there are tragic accidents with bees. The little girl of the family dies in a lake.

Paranormal researchers are called in to investigate the house. This giant mantis like creature comes out of the hole in the basement and drags a researcher scientist to his demise.

Any of this ring a bell with anyone? Ever since seeing this movie I have had an unusual fear of sump pumps in basements.
