Green Drink Turns Kids to Monster-Food

I'm trying to find the name of an 80's or early 90's horror film where a man tries to get kids to drink a green shake, and their father firmly tells the man they don't want it.

Apparently the shake turns people into food for the monsters or trolls or goblins, or whatever they may be.

Does anyone know what I am talking about?
